Natalie Gulbis Gets Reality Series on TGC
"Natalie,"
a six-episode "reality" television series focusing on
LPGA golfer Natalie Gulbis (photos), will air on The Golf Channel
beginning in July. Among other things the series will feature is
"exclusive all-access to Natalie's 2006 swimsuit calendar shoot."
Say this for Gulbis: She knows how to market herself.
That marketing
certainly has paid off. After all, Gulbis has yet to win on the
LPGA Tour - although her dedication to the game can't be questioned
(see our earlier post on the possibility of a Gulbis reality series
for a discussion of why Gulbis is not Anna Kournikova).
Gulbis is talented,
but her fame has so far outstripped (so to speak) her on-course
accomplishments. We expect her accomplishments to catch up as her
game developments.
The reality series "Natalie" will premiere on The Golf
Channel on July 19 and will air on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. EST for
six weeks.
According to
a news release on the LPGA website, the show will focus on "Natalie's
exploits on the LPGA Tour (where she is under extreme pressure to
win her first tournament)," and, among other things:"
• Exclusive
all-access to Natalie's 2006 swimsuit calendar shoot
• Natalie's selection to FHM Magazine's 100 Sexiest Women
in the World list
• An exclusive peek into the private side of Natalie's high-profile
relationships
• Natalie & friends hanging out in Las Vegas, including
fellow LPGA beauty Cristie Kerr
• Natalie's famed instructor, Butch Harmon
• Natalie's intense and ever-present father, John."
